ABOUT
KAYLIN GESS

Kaylin Gess is a lighting designer, scenic designer, and educator, who is passionate about storytelling and live performance. Gess has worked all over the east coast as a designer, but is now very excited to call Winston Salem and Wake Forest, “home”. Gess was previously a Charlotte-based Lighting Designer, Scenic Designer, and Scenic Painter who worked as the Assistant Technical Director at Davidson College, her alma mater from 2017-2020. Professional design credits include: Davidson Community Players, Adjusted Realists, Ivoryton Playhouse, NC Stage Company, River and Rail Theatre, Actor's Theatre of Charlotte, Jobsite Theatre, Hat Trick Theatre, Patel Conservatory, M.A.D. Theatre of Tampa, and Davidson College. Kaylin holds a B.A. in Theatre from Davidson College and an MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Gess currently serves as the Faculty Advisor for the Anthony Aston Players.
